Tyler is a queer, genderqueer student working on their Master’s in Education in counseling at The College of William and Mary, graduating in May of 2023. They have experience working in community mental health, case management, and crisis treatment. They are grounded in Feminist Theory of counseling and integrate mindfulness, embodiment, and social justice into their therapeutic work.
As a 200-hour certified yoga instructor, Tyler is able to provide yogic practice in a therapeutic context. Tyler is also a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and they are deeply motivated by an ethic of queer and trans activism, antiracism, and feminism.
Tyler received a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology in 2016. They have previous personal experience with Christian evangelical communities and in receiving conversion therapy. Because of this, Tyler has a special interest in working with the LGBTQ+ community to find healing from religious trauma.
