Meeting people where they are is not just important...it's respectful. OutKind is a place that believes deeply in the need to encounter others in the wholeness of their being. Come as you are and know that, at least here, for the time we are together, your personhood is important and sacred. That includes your pronouns for those who are transgender, trans*, GNC, Non-Binary, and Gender Queer.
This is an important and key facet to the values of my practice and speaks to the importance of what the practitioner brings - their training and experience and the importance of what a client brings - their expertise in themselves.
It is through the sharing and respect of each of the others' roles and experiences that a therapeutic relationship can truly flourish.
